Expedia.ca joins forces with Canada 3000 to Provide Canadian Consumers with Affordable Holidays
Expedia.ca Delivers Convenience and Choice with New Customized Packages
Toronto, ON, February 22, 2001 – Just when you thought the holidays were over, Expedia.ca™ delivers a variety of exciting vacation packages to enjoy throughout the year. Travellers planning their winter and spring holidays can now book customized, affordable hotel and air packages with Canada 3000 on Expedia.ca, the award-winning online travel service.
According to Canadian Tourism News, Canadians looking for travel packages are the keenest users of the Internet. Two out of three package travellers used the Internet to help plan their summer trip in 2000.
With this in mind, the new package service from Expedia® has lodging options at more than 150 hotels and airfare to over 15 popular destinations in Mexico, the Caribbean, Las Vegas, and soon, in California and Hawaii. By purchasing a vacation package at Expedia.ca, travellers can often save significantly more money than they could by booking air and hotel separately.
"Our customers are in control during each stage of the travel package shopping process to ensure they get exactly the trip they want, quickly and easily," said Stuart MacDonald, General Manager, Expedia Canada Corp. "As we have continued to broaden our travel offerings from airline tickets to specialty lodging, destination services, packages and more, Expedia.ca has become the one-stop shop for everyone's travel needs."
Selecting the Perfect Package
To design a package, customers click on the package tab at www.expedia.ca and enter travel information such as destination, travel dates and number of travellers. In a single step, Expedia.ca will provide available air and hotel packages matching the customers' preferences. But the options don't end there. Travellers can change package components easily, exploring different hotels, types of rooms, and various flight itineraries for their vacation packages. The final price shown includes all taxes and surcharges in Canadian funds.
"For those consumers who are unfamiliar with the benefits of booking travel online, our knowledgeable customer support staff is available 24 hours a day/seven days a week at 1-888-279-5420," said MacDonald.
"Canada 3000 is excited to be working with Expedia.ca and offering travellers wider access to our extensive product line," said Debbie Falconi, Director of Sales, Eastern Canada.
In short, Expedia's packages further the Expedia global travel marketplace vision and the future of fully integrated travel shopping experiences.
